For the past two weeks we have been reading lots of fun versions of the classic store "The Gingerbread Man." What was your favorite? Here are some work samples of some things that we did.

Thanksgiving Friendship Feast

Thank you to all the family that came to our friendship feast. We made vegetable soup and chicken soup after reading the fable, "Stone Soup." I hope everyone enjoys their 6 days off! Have a great Thanksgiving!

We had a great time on the field trip! Thank you to Rylan's mom, Anesa's dad and Deepu's mom for coming to help! We had so much fun, some of us fell asleep on the bus home!

Response to Literature

This was one of our fun fall activities this week. We first read the book porkenstein. We were then to invent a friend just like dr pig. Our students did a great job! Did yours make the board?

Drug free week!

The door decorating contest is tomorrow! Who thinks our door will win?? Just say no to drugs!

Character Parade

On October 31st we will be having a school wide Book Character Parade. Students are encouraged to dress like a character from a book and to bring a copy of the book with them. Students will be in their costume for the day so please plan ahead! Make sure costumes are comforales and all students to do thier work still =) Also, no masks allowed.

Book Fair is Here!!!

Today we were able to visit the "All Star Book Fair." We had a fabulous time! In your child's BEE folder with their work from today should be a book fair "wish list." It should have the title of the book and how much it cost. You have a few options. You can send in the money (remember +tax) for the book, or you can come in the morning or afternoon and accompany your child there. It will also be open during Family Fun Night, which will take place Thursday evening. There are some great books in there! If you have the time- please check it out!

Chick Fila Spirit Night is TONIGHT!

Book Buddies!

Today we started book buddies. We pair up with 3rd graders in Ms. Meehan's class and they read to us! This will take place every Tuesday. Ask your child who thier book buddy is? See if they remember! They did a great job with thier first Book Buddy Experience!

Star Student- Charles!

Charles was our star student this week! Things we know about Charles now. He loves race cars. He reads Sonic. His favorite food is pizza. And his favorite color is blue!

New Friends!

Due to class sizes, Greenfield has had to move some students out of classes and move into ours! We will be getting 4 new friends tomorrow. Let's remember to be star students and good examples of how we are in class everyday. Looking forward to it.

And just a reminder- NO SCHOOL MONDAY. Have a great holiday weekend!

Reading Goals are set!

Greenfield has paired up with the Jacksonville Shark's Arena Football Team. Each student has a goal of reading 45 books a quarter at home and in the classroom. Each quarter the goal is met, the sharks will send you a gift. it may even be tickets to a game!
